SO! 17 weeks pregnant!! Was reading this morning that baby is about the length of my whole hand stretched out and around the size of a pomengrante! What really pleased me is when It said that baby will start to hear soon and that rubbing my belly and talking to the baby can help with bonding, awwww. I *think* I might feel flutters? I can’t think of anything else It can be! Wonder when I’ll feel a swift little kick??? Hah, I know all I talk about now is baby and pregnancy but um.. I lead a pretty average, boring life so bare with me, lol. Brad has been wonderful and supportive for this whole pregnancy. I’m so grateful to have him. I still have a little cold! Still sniffling and stuffed up a bit plus an annoying random cough.

Squee!!! Our baby appointment went very, very well today. I’m really delighted. First off, want to say that these last few days I have had an AWFUL sinus cold! =( Terrible! Last night I went to bed with hubby at about 10PM but I woke up at midnight. 2:30. 3:30. 4:00. 4:25. 4:45. Then got up with hubby at 5AM. Ugh so needless to say I didn’t get the best rest. Yesterday I felt the worst, like a zombie. Today I feel a bit better but still stuffed up and can only half taste – which really sucks.

Now then!!! Our appointment! Got there right on time and didn’t have to wait but a few minutes before they called us back. Brad went to one room while I went into another to get my weight, blood pressure and such taken. The nurse that takes blood and etc is such a character! She cracks me up. She weighed me… same weight! Which I told her I figured either I was the same or had lost 1 pound. Sat down and she took my blood pressure and It was 145/84 so she said we’d wait a minute or two and she’d take it again since I had just sat down. Waited then she took it again – 118/84! That’s more like it hehe. Went and did the urine sample then was off to join my hubby in the other room to wait for the Doc to come in. She came in and said everything was good as far as my blood work from last appointment. Pap smear was negative! Found out I am AB- blood and Brad showed her his blood donor card to prove he was O- so we know we won’t have a problem between me and baby as far as blood types go. Something about my Rubella results, that my vaccination I got when I was young didn’t take so they’ll have to do it again after I give birth. My sugar level was a little high (I’m guessing with my urine?) because she asked me what I had to eat and drink for lunch (I had toaster strudels and cranapple juice) and she said that my kidneys were probably just trying to flush out the sugar but they wanted to check it just to see.

Theeeen! We got to hear the babys heartbeat on the doppler! Last time we didn’t get to hear it because my heart was beating too loud and fast but this time! Thump thump swoosh swoosh! 156 beats per minute, hehe! What a lovely sound. Doc said since our insurance only covers 2 ultrasounds, she was gonna wait for the gender scan until 24 weeks. The baby will be much bigger and we won’t have any trouble seeing the gender UNLESS baby decides to not cooperate, lol. That was about it for the Doc! She said I’d get my blood taken then I was done and she’d see me again in 4 weeks! The same nurse came back in to take my blood and check my sugar. She took a few minutes to try to feel for the right vein with her finger.. which I’m glad for because I didn’t want to be poked and poked. She hit it just right again, yay! Only thing is the vein puffed up at the end so It’s bruised.. ouch. Got 2 vials of blood from me to do tests for the baby for defects and such then took a tiny bit for the blood sugar. That popped up at 57 – which is low. The Doc peeked her head in and said that was alright! We were all done! Next appointment on February 21st! Waiting for my belly to pop out and to feel those first movements!

What else is going on? Nothing much.. just that It’s gonna be a COLD night! 15-19 degrees, EESH!!!

Man, I used to be pretty good at blogging and used to have pretty interesting entries haha. Now I just.. don’t, lol. I think I’m gonna attempt to be better at it though.

This weekend was a good one overall. Brad finally went to one of the new clinics in town Friday afternoon to get his blood pressure medicine refilled and since he’s had a pretty nasty cold lately. They gave him a shot and antibiotics to clear that up real fast since he does not need to be getting real sick with his job. He needs to save up his personal days for either my appointments or for when the baby comes!!! Saturday started off with some roofers working on ours at 8AM.. we had no clue what the noise was at first so we both jumped out of bed and then we both stayed up. I eventually got sleepy enough to lay back down on the couch for a few hours more sleep. I had a pretty steamy dream that made me steamy when I woke up hehe so I went to use the bathroom and Brad came in there and I kissed him in “our” way that signals time to hit the sheets, lol. All I can say is, DAMN. Yeah, damn hehe. Afterwards, we both got a shower and got ready to go grocery shopping. I was quite sore already then add an hour+ of walking around in Wal-Mart. For dinner Saturday, we bought 2 decent sized steaks and some thick, hearty A1 sauce. Was really delicious!!! The rest of the weekend just kindof drifted by.. like usual. Yesterday was laundry and lazyness, lol. We fixed bacon, lettuce and tomatoe sandwiches last night. I haven’t had any bacon in a long time so that was different!

I just feel so lucky and blessed with everything I have — something that I heard not long ago that almost brought tears to my eyes is “some people search their whole life looking for love and never find it” and then to think about Brad and our love. I’m a sap but It’s amazing. *sighs*

I’m just so happy to be in the 2nd trimester of pregnancy! And 15 weeks?? 20 weeks I’ll be HALFWAY! Brad and I keep talking about how we can’t wait to hold our little one. I know we’ll both be good parents. I’m also glad now that I’m feeling a bit better and not gagging every 2 seconds, lol that was annoying! It is getting more hard to get comfortable when I go to bed but usually I can get on my left side and drift off to sleep but I HAVE to have the fan on in the bedroom even If we have the wall heater on in the kitchen.. because If I don’t have some sort of circulation of air at night, I feel like I’m suffocating! I’ve had little sniffles and sneezes since I found out I was pregnant and my gosh, my nose gets SO DRY up in there sometimes.

Still not showing – just my tubby belly haha but the very bottom of my stomach (right above my abdomen) is getting a tiny bit more firm. Maybe I’ll pop out a tiny more in the next few weeks. I still haven’t gained any weight – since getting pregnant I’m down about 6 pounds and I’m trying to eat a little more!!! I switched to whole milk, back to white bread (instead of honey wheat) so we’ll see what happens. Next appointment is next Thursday, woot! I really can’t wait!

Tuesday we had a storm pass over us but all we got was some rain plus a little lightning and thunder. Today we have another system coming through that is supposed to be pretty severe. The wind has been whipping pretty good this morning so I guess we’ll see what comes of this storm.

Gosh, I have been so tired these last few days! Last night I did stay up until 2AM though haha I’m finally getting back into Lord of the Rings Online after not really playing hardly at all and I’m actually getting interested in it again so yay!

I can’t wait for tonight! New episode of My Name is Earl and ER!!!! Man, I really hate that my show Bones won’t be back until APRIL!!!!!!! Blasted writers strike =( Quite a few of my shows are affected by it! *pouts*

Here I am… at 14 weeks pregnant! I’m so delighted. Beyond delighted! I keep thinking of this tiny human. Our tiny, little baby.

I’m gonna make this short since I don’t feel that well. I have a headache and actually feel like I might get sick. Throwing up with a headache is no fun because It makes your head hurt 10 times worse while your getting sick so I’m hoping after a little something to drink and eat maybe my stomach will calm down and my head eventually, too. I went to bed around 11PM last night since I was tired and bored and If I feel like I’m feeling much longer, I’m gonna go to bed early again tonight.

Before I tell about our Saturday, I have been on a cleaning frenzy LOL. Spent most of Friday cleaning and It felt niiiiice. Was gonna do more today but we went out so today I’m gonna wash clothes and continue with more cleaning things I want to get done. There’s SOOO much in the apartment I want done done done!

Saturday Brad and I got up, got ready then decided to head out towards the mall. Needed to buy our chinchilla some more food so decided since we had to go out that way we’d go out to the mall. We haven’t been out to the mall in a long while so It was really nice! Went to Petsmart first to get the chinchilla food and of course roamed around looking at all the animals. Afterwards, drove over to the mall and went to various stores just mainly looking. I wanted to go get my eyebrows waxed at the Master Haircuts so Brad went into Spencers and Hot Topic while I was in there. The woman who waxed my eyebrows was fairly young and was quick about it so I was done and out of there in no time. I came up to Brad in Hot Topic and he was surprised to see me so fast haha. We continued to go various stores and I eventually bought a new shell necklace and some raspberry fizz perfume from Claire’s! Which made me feel good since I don’t really get little things like that for me often. After a few more stops, we decided to leave the mall. Brad wanted to go by Books-a-Million (of course) so I went straight to the preggo section and sat my butt down on the floor and looked at week-by-week books. Brad came a bit later and sat with me and looked at a Father-to-be book! He already has one here @ home but was just looking at one since I was still looking at the one I had. When we came to the mall, we usually go back to Fulton to do our grocery shopping but we decided to stay there in town and shop at their Wal-Mart.

We needed quite a bit of groceries… I was out of most of my cleaning supplies and out of washing detergent. As far as food goes, I bought strawberries, grape juice, microwave-ready steamed peas, shrimp flavored ramen *drool*, cream and chives crackers *more drool*, and 2 of those little rings of shrimp (can you tell I love shrimp?) – and all that was just extra this and that. Course we bought our usual breakfast, lunch and weekend dinner stuff. Annnd since I still had Christmas money! I bought Chris Daughtry’s CD since I am a fan of his! Yay! Traveled home and man, my legs are sore!

Thought It was about time for a new layout since the holiday season is now pretty much over. Speaking of this layout, the Joey and Pacey image I made back in 2005 and had It set up for a layout on my website back then but never used it so It’s been sitting on my computer so I thought I’d put it to good use!

What do you think? I think It’s cute. LOTS of people complain about tiny fonts on websites nowadays – I remember when 7pt was everywhere. I personally still love to use it but I decided to go a little bigger with verdana for this layouts entries. I just don’t care for bigger fonts..

The weather here lately has been butt numbing cold! It’s 27 out right now says It’s gonna be down to 17 tonight. It was even colder last night! Guess what though? By next week our highs are gonna be almost 70 with some chance for severe weather. Fun! Nothing like crazy roller coaster weather to mess with you. :annoyed:
