Happy Monday and HAPPY OCTOBER!

Rewind to Saturday… I cleaned house, relaxed a bit, got my church lesson ready for the kiddos Sunday then my church friend picked me up and we went to a women’s church meeting. It was really nice and I am SO GLAD I went. I really, really need to make a better effort to go to church events. My church friend got lost on the way there, so we were late to the dinner and there wasn’t a lot of food choices left. I nibbled on a little bit of this and that. They had a presentation then after that we went into the chapel and watched the church broadcast. We also got a treat at the end for staying and watching – a cake pop! It was awesome. Another church friend rode on the way back with us and so we chatted until I reached my destination. We stayed up and watched the movie RIO!!! Well, 2nd time for me but Brad was asleep when I watched it the first time and I wanted him to see it so he agreed to stay up and watch it, lol.

I had a good time with the kids in my class at church Sunday! I had a little activity for them and they seemed to enjoy it. I’m glad! I did the usual after church – college work, got stuff ready, and then walked under Brad’s giant umbrella over to Mom’s. It had started raining that late afternoon and rained allllll niiiiiiiiight and even most of today! I enjoyed the walk – looking at the puddles and being under the umbrella with the rain steadily coming down. As always my visit with Mom was good.

Today has been really nice!!! I went heavy on the oats around lunch time, but while Katie was asleep I went over to my neighbor’s for the first time since last…. Tuesday maybe? I helped her clean then we started chatting about Jesus. =) Oh, I got dressed FOR THE GYM before I went to my neighbor’s too. I came back home and Brad was a bit later getting home because of traffic. Katie went to my neighbor’s while we went to the gym for the first time in almost 2 weeks! I was happy to be back. We did our 10 minute warmup on the elliptical then went onto weight machines… I did 2 different machines then got on the treadmill. I was just gonna fast walk but then decided to try jogging. My tummy didn’t feel the best, but I made the effort. I JOGGED FOR ALMOST 2 MILES STRAIGHT! My feet/legs felt fine, tummy was a little uncomfortable but tolerable and I TOTALLY could of kept running, but time got in the way. Brad actually wanted to tan, so we both did. I had some of his protein shake then had a protein bar. We left the gym happy!

I’m gonna make this the month that I STICK TO MY FITNESS / FOOD and get this under control ONCE AND FOR ALL. I did well from after lunch and even tonight. I had that big protein bar when I left the gym and that was pretty calorie dense, so I didn’t eat my turkey mix tonight and I haven’t had anything else to eat. I can do this… I can do this … I can do this! I actually felt pretty good at the gym and the better my diet, the better I’ll feel. I want to feel as AWESOME AS I DID in late 2009 / early 2010. I know I say that often, but I want it sooooooo badly. Hopefully by the end of the year I’ll have made big progress.

I AM STRONG. I AM MOTIVATED. I can do all things through Christ… I believe this, I know this. Not gonna let anything stand in my way of getting that balance back mentally, physically, and spiritually. When you get those just right – YOU COME ALIVE LIKE NEVER BEFORE because I have lived it and felt it.

Fighting to feel and LIVE that way again. =)
