Overall, a good year because a lot was accomplished! I taught Katie how to pray, and she has memorized 7/13 of the Articles of Faith!!! I’m SO proud of her. Our relationship has gotten better this year, but I really, really look forward to improving even more with us in 2013. I loved spending once a week visiting with my Mom and the past few months my Aunt has come over to Mom’s too while I’m there and we have been playing cards. Love it so much!

2013: I plan to finally get my hormones/health balanced, lose this extra weight, start getting fit like I was in early 2010 and even BETTER… get my driver’s license, keep studying scriptures EVERY day, go to more church meetings + the TEMPLE as often as possible… socialize more, continue to work hard w/online college, go to bed EARLIER, drink plenty of water, inspire people, and continue to strive to be the best version of myself.

Here’s to an AWESOME, positive 2013. I’m ready for it.

Variousness

Soooo, using another older theme that I had and fiddled with it. I cannot get my tweets to show up! GRRR. Still need to find a good archives plugin again. I loved the one I had, but I don’t remember the name.

Next up, some random Katie tales. Day before yesterday we went out to donate our haul of items to a donation truck then we went to walk around Petsmart to just look and get bedding for Ratticus. I asked Brad when we walked in there if we should put Katie in a buggie and he said no, but I knew better. Katie picked out some little chewies for him! She loved looking at the animals. We left after a bit and walked next door to Micheal’s craft store and went to put her in a buggie. She SCREAMED HER HEAD OFF and the store was already super quiet… so yeah. -_- Brad finally talked her into calming down. I went off by myself wandering around then our last stop was the usual last…. Wal-Mart! Again, I went my own way to look around and found out later that Katie had been sticking her tongue out at people, so Brad told her she lost her rocking privileges for that night (she usually always rocks with Daddy before bed). Oh, kids.

Anyway, last night we picked her up from my Mom’s then came home and put her to bed. Around… 1AM? I think? We heard something and it was her crying. She woke up in the middle of the night a few months back and we didn’t know what was wrong, but found out it was her tummy cause the next morning she had poo’d in her pull-up, so Brad automatically asked her last night if she needed to go potty and she shook her head yes, so off to the potty. Except… she couldn’t go. She also had developed a bit of a rough cough, so we took her temp… 100. Got her some meds and let her sit on the potty for a long while, but again she couldn’t go, so we tucked her back into bed. She slept really, really late and got up, ate, watched a Pooh movie while I cleaned, ate lunch, and is now playing her room. Her temp was again at 100 after she woke up, so I gave her some more meds earlier today. Thankfully she has only coughed a handful of times and it hasn’t affected how she acts/plays or anything. Brad said his throat has been a little sore too. NOOOO, GERMS STAY AWAY! I’m making sure to drink plenty of water, take plenty of vitamin C, and sanitize. Don’t think she’ll be going to church tomorrow.. I might get my co-teacher to come get me, but I guess it just depends.

Did I mention I beat the Lego Lord of the Rings for the Wii? Heh. It was awesome and really made me and Brad want to re-watch the movies again, so night before last we watched The Fellowship of the Ring and then last night we watched half of The Two Towers. Makes me really, really, really want to play Lord of the Rings Online again, but I know I don’t have the time for it.

I was supposed to go back to my Naturopath on the 3rd, but I emailed her and asked if the saliva testing results would be back by then and she said we should probably reschedule for the next week. We switched it to January 10th @ 1pm and I can’t wait!!! I’ll finally get to see the results from the blood and saliva testing and move forward with a treatment plan. I’m gonna try hard to go ahead and get some routines started again at home… like drinking plenty of water, trying to go to bed earlier, not eating too much, and eating consistently.

2012 is almost done!

Christmas cheer

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE !!!!

Katie opened her Christmas Eve gifts last night….

Christmas EVE

Then we woke up to SANTA…..

After we got ready then we headed over to my Mom’s to eat and then we played UNO!!! It was super fun. Katie got to watch cartoons and play. It started raining so we headed back home. Brad’s playing on his cellphone and Katie’s playing in her room. I need to wash dishes, cook turkey patties, and fold laundry.

Wishing everyone a delightful Christmas!!!!!!!!!! :)

Eveeee

Merry Christmas Eve !!!

I was busybusybusy today and got quite a bit accomplished. I ate, studied scriptures, and then started sorting through things in our room and Katie’s… making a throw away and donation pile. We have 6 trash bags full of donations!!! I got Katie’s dresser drawers all sorted and neat then did the same for her closet. Later I cleaned house, since I didn’t get to Saturday and then we went out to Wal-Mart for a bit. Came home, Katie ate dinner, and then we let her open her gifts under the tree from us!!! She loved them all and is currently playing in her room. She’s gonna go to bed soon and get ready for SANTA!!! Gonna fill her stocking tonight too. Heh.

We’re gonna head over to my Mom’s tomorrow around noon for the Christmas lunch! I’d like us all to play cards afterwards for a few hours… that would be awesome! Me, Mom, and my Aunt played Sunday like always and then my Cousin showed up and played with us for a bit too. =)

Hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas EVE and that you guys get what you want for Christmas !!!!!

Fixings

*sigh*

So, as I mentioned in the last post — my site went wonky and then I had to figure out what to do. I made a new wordpress folder and had the task of saving and transferring everything over. I had some issues along the way, plus other daily things would pop up and delay my time to fix it… that’s why I haven’t had it up sooner. Anyway, I finally got all my entries over. However, it is not allowing me to access or delete the plugin folder of my old wordpress folder, so I’ll have to figure that one out. I’m using an older theme of mine that still needs a lot of tweaks, but it will do for now. I have some of my other themes but their messed up because certain plugins are missing…. seeing as I started with 0 plugins again. This should be fun.

Guess I’ll do a recap of everything that has happened since my last post!
– We were going to Alabama to visit Brad’s family for Thanksgiving, but Brad got really sick the day before! He had a fever, chills, body aches, and felt miserable. Obviously we couldn’t go.
– That same night I helped my neighbor with a kitty that ran up to me right by her porch and we assumed it was the outside cat’s kitten, but we weren’t sure. She talked me into taking in and “fostering” the kitten until we could get things figured out. We had it for … 3 weeks? Then the one I had, plus the other 3 kitties that were outside on my neighbor’s porch were taken to a place to get them fixed and to try to find new homes!
– We bought a new artifical tree!!!!! I have been using the same one my Mom passed down to me, LOL. We got a 7.5 foot one and our star is smooshed at the ceiling, haha. Also, it’s a fake “snowy” tree, since Brad really loved it. =)
– I called and got an appointment with a holisic clinic that is about 35 minutes away! The appointment went wonderfully and she did blood work, plus gave me a home saliva test kit to do. The blood results are back and she said there is a “tiny thyroid issue” but she’s waiting until their MD looks at my labs & makes suggestions before moving forward. I just sent off my saliva kit today and I go back for another appointment to see her on January 3rd. I’m so anxious to move forward. It’s a LOOOOT more money to do it this way, but atleast I know I WILL get answers & on the healing path. She gave me diet suggestions and I found out I AM hypoglycemic.
– We finally got to go visit Brad’s Mom & sisters, plus a few other family members weekend before last! It had almost been 2 years since we had seen them. The visit was wonderful and Katie loved it, of course.
– Last weekend we went to see THE HOBBIT in the new High Frame Rate 3D and I LOVED IT. Also, I got my hair trimmed, thinned down, and my eyebrows waxed.
– Monday after I turned in my last college assignment started my Winter Break!!!!! Thank goodness!! Brad and I both get 2 weeks off and I am going to enjoy every second. Brad starts his work vacation after this Friday? I think? Yahoooooo!!!
– Katie has a whole PILE of presents!!! Heh. I still need to wrap them and she needs shirts, pants, and socks. Another awesome thing? My neighbor upstairs came down the other day and knocked on the door…. she works with Toys for Tots and had some extras and wanted to know If they could go to Katie! Bless her.

I think those are the biggest highlights. I had been doing well with the diet suggestions that the holistic person gave me, but I gave in to a few things last night. I’m noticing that I feel better when I have NO grains. Argh, I’m so done with this whole health scramble. Not sure If I’ll update every day, but we’ll see. Happy Holidays!!!
