I really wish I was into blogging like I used to be! There’s no way I could recap all that’s happened without making it super long so I’ll try for some highlights since before we moved!!!

Back up towards the end of March- we didn’t have nearly enough time to pack and get ready for the move but we did all that we could and it ended up being a big MESS when we did move because most of our bedroom closets still were not packed! So we had to cram everything into whatever we could find.. bags, extra smaller boxes. Our friends Sam and Kollin were visiting when it was moving day for us – they were staying at our place because they were going to an event in Atlanta. Long story short- Brad waited until the morning of to look for a moving truck and ended up ordering it online at the wrong place so he had to drive all the way up to the town we were moving to to pick up the moving truck! Meanwhile, I had people from church that had come over to help but they were waiting on Brad so they were just awkwardly standing around haha. It took hours to get the moving truck loaded and then Brad went ahead and drove by himself up to our new place and people from our church up here were already ready to help move us into our new place and they unloaded it in like 15 MINUTES! We ended up having to just literally pile the rest of our stuff on the back of the moving truck- not in anything just on the floor and having to try to hurry back to unload the rest of that before time was up for renting the moving truck, or it was gonna be extra money! SHEW. It took maybe like 4-5 days of sorting before we finally got things kind of in place. We still love our new town house.

Since we moved.. Brad’s Mom and one of his sisters came to visit and stayed for a week. It was awesome to see them and spend time with them! Brad went on a work trip to Chicago for almost 2 days while they were visiting and let’s just say he made some bad choices on that trip and I was NOT HAPPY. We had long talks about it and moved forward. We got our upstairs bathroom fixed before his Mom came to visit but we still need to have the ceiling guy come to fix 2 spots downstairs. I’ve been down to see my Mom a couple times and she’s still hanging in there.. she’s now 64 pounds. =( I plan on bringing the kids down for a visit either Thursday or Friday.

Benjamin had his 14 month checkup last Monday and he’s almost 26 pounds! He can say “uh oh” and has almost all 4 of his first molars. Overall, he’s a real good baby. He loves to baby babble and is content playing with his toys but if he’s cranky/sleepy he gets upset when we leave the room. He’s getting so big.

Katie’s TENTH birthday was on the 18th!!! Double digits… cannot believe it. Brad and I bought her presents from us, unicorn cupcakes, balloons, she got to talk to both Grandma’s on the phone on her birthday, got $20 birthday money from people, and then we took her that evening on her birthday to Five Below (everything $1-$5) and she got to spend her birthday money! TOMORROW is her last half-day of 4TH GRADE. Seriously time SLOW DOWN. Then summer break begins!!! It came a little mini thunderstorm this evening and my church friend had asked if I wanted to go walking at the park tomorrow morning but I think it might rain.

Brad will be off for Memorial Day and then he took the next day off too so upcoming 4 day weekend for him! Katie has church fun stuff coming up next Wed-Friday then next Saturday we are looking at going to SIX FLAGS for free with Brad’s yearly work fun event!!! We’ve gone twice for his work event before.

That’s our mini catch up since last time! I have to get up and fix Katie’s dinner then soon Benjamin will be ready for his too. Brad’s zonked out on the couch right now since he got up extra early this morning for an all day work meeting in Atlanta.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!
