Today was Brad’s Grandpa’s funeral. We drove out to his Grandparent’s house to hang out until It was time to go to the funeral home. We headed out and I fed Katie lunch in the car before we went in. Everyone talked and talked some more. Then the immediate family gathered in the room with Brad’s Grandpa to say our final goodbye. It was heartbreaking. All his Grandkids (including me) got to put a rose in his casket and say goodbye to him one last time. It’s just all so unreal… dream-like. It’s not every day that this happens to you. He’s been the only person I’ve had to pass away in my life that was pretty close to me. My Grandpa passed when I was 6 but I didn’t know him too well. I met Nolan when I first met Brad and got closer to him and Brad’s Grandma over these years. He was always looking at the positive in life and loved to crack jokes to make someone laugh.

I’m so exhausted. After the funeral, we headed back to his Grandparent’s house to eat and chat. We eventually headed home. I cleaned house, put some laundry on and now I’m sitting here eating dinner.

We stayed up way too late last night! Deffo going to sleep earlier tonight. We’ve got a snow storm coming tomorrow night! Might get up to 8 inches!
