Ya, could tell that I didn’t fuel enough after yesterday’s workout and it affected my performance today, rah. HOLY COW the virtual bike route had a KILLER HILL… I wanted to cry!!! I THOUGHT IT WOULD NEVER END. My lower thighs really got a workout! I was actually happy to get on the treadmill! I had a protein bar afterwards and we talked to one of the girls that works there for a bit before heading home. Brought Katie home for a bath then to bed. I think I *might* actually do a mini workout tomorrow by jogging on our home treadmill, while watching an OTH rerun! I dunno though, since I already burned a lot yesterday and today. We’ll see how I feel and etc.

Excited to go out tomorrow night for groceries with my love and excited for the weekend, YIPPEEEEEE! Also, last day of MAY… here comes June and the real start of my fav season – SUMMER, YES. I’m so thankful for my life. Thankful in general. Always try to remind myself to appreciate the little things in life. I have so many blessings and am so lucky to have a home, food, and clothing. I know there are so many out there who do not have those things. I pray for them…

Errands

Zoom! This week is flying by and tomorrow is already Thursday!!! Usual this morning, except after I had my protein shake I just napped on the couch for a bit, since me and Katie were going out with my neighbor to accompany her, while she got some errands done. I napped, got up, fixed our breakfast, got Katie ready and then we left with my neighbor! It was a gorgeous morning. We drove around with her and made it back just in time for lunch! I was getting hungry… so I fed Katie then eventually down for nap! She actually went to sleep today, woots. Oh and earlier in the day I did some college work. I’m ALL DONE with my current class, except for the last 5ish pages on my final paper! After she went down I took a bath so I could shave and also had my lunch. I got a bit tired again, so I took another nap. Once Katie was back up, I took her outside to attempt to ride her bike, but I guess it’s gonna be a long learning process for her to learn how to move her legs/feet correctly. We only stayed out there for about 20ish minutes then came back in and she played with her toys. Fiddled around and got ready for GYMMM. Man. I felt AWESOME during the whole workout!!! I modified my diet a bit day before yesterday and it seems to really be making me feel good. SCORE. I burned over 600 calories for the total workout! I had 2 smoothie samples during my workout that I got from the smoothie bar and then had a bit of Brad’s MONSTER drink afterwards. I was pretty cold after my workout, since the gym is cold anyway haha and plus I had just drank some realllly cold water + ice. Talked to the front guys just a little then headed out! It was sooo nice to come home and get a nice warm BATH. I’m about to go through my new songs that I downloaded on my computer and sort those out, upload some pics, then relax before bed.

Runner

Good day to you guys! Hope Tuesday has been good to ya. Brad looked super cute/handsome in his outfit this morning with his new haircut, heh. He left and I had my awesome protein shake then dryed/fixed/styled my hair then went back to sleep for a bit. AHHHH, it was lovely. I seriously love my breakfast #2 – eggs, coconut oil, and steamed GREEN BEANS. *INSERT DROOLING* I bought some liquid egg whites last time we went shopping and I have been enjoying those too! Lower calorie and I just like it. Gonna be eating a lot of eggs, lol. Morning consisted of listening to lots of music (as usual around here!) and a bit of college work, while Katie danced/sang/played. When she went down for nap later on, I also eventually laid down since I felt tired again. Went to visit with my neighbor and then came back to gather up and fix this & that for GYMMMMMMMMMM! So, we tried out a new move with the upper body- farmer’s walk! Basically, you just walk with heavy weights and it works a LOT. It was pretty intense! LOVED RUNNING ON THE TREADMILL SOOOO MUCH. I know my limit heart rate wise, so I just keep it in that range and GO, GO, GO! I had a sip of Brad’s smoothie then had a protein bar afterwards. NOM NOM. It was my fav – rocky road brownie! Got my tan on then we came back! Got Katie & put her to bed….. she threw a gigantic fit but yeah haha. Washed off, ate my turkey mix, and think I’m gonna watch the latest SECRET LIFE, since I didn’t get to watch it this morning.

That was my day! I can’t believe May is almost over. Bring on June!!! Last June I lost a lot of weight because of my juice fast/cleanse, but this JUNE I’m gonna lose a lot of weight because I’m keeping consistent challenging exercise AND sticking to a consistent, clean food plan! YESSIRRR.

Have I mentioned I really love jump squats? I truly do, lol. Was DRIPPING sweat on the stair stepper and flying on the elliptical trainer, woot woot. Had my AWESOMELY favorite smoothie afterwards then we headed out to Wal-Mart to buy a few things, including SWIM SUITS and water wings for Katie! We came back, picked Katie up and then got dressed to GO SWIMMING! I really like my new suit and can’t wait for it to be LOOSE on me after I lose some weight! We had a blast… but then about 45 minutes later the clouds rolled in and we had to get out and it sprinkled on us as we came home then it POURED. Ah well, lol and whaddya know a bit later it cleared up and the sun came out haha. We all got baths/showers and Katie played, ate dinner, and colored in her new HUGE spongebob book for a bit then I gave her some plastic food containers to play with and she loves them! I fixed our dinner and got a slight headache (that I still have! not sure why? maybe the pool? I dunno) then after Katie went to bed we went out on the front porch so I could buzz cut Brad’s hair and it looks so good! We left it a little longer on the top, heh. I’m now relaxing and downloading some awesome songs that I can add to my mp3 player for my workouts, YES!!!!!!!!

I’m super super super happy! =) =) =) I’m so thankful for the men and women who serve to keep our freedom in this country! I pray for them and their families. I pray for everyone… I pray that I may learn to be a better person a little bit day by day. I wish happiness for YOU!

A no-no

Ya…. remember that portion of Brad’s steak I had last night? TERRIBLE IDEA. My body + red meat = FAIL. It made me kindof puffy/bloated and just makes me feel … weird. Hard to explain. UGH. So yeah, felt kindof blah and that’s made me crave stuff. =(

Church went well! We came home and Katie eventually took a nap. I sat down to look over some college stuff + take my quiz, which I made a 100% on… woot! I could barely keep my eyes open by the time I was done with that and Brad had already fallen asleep on the couch, so I went to collapse in the bed. We took a loooong nap then got up. This evening I went over to visit with my neighbor and said they would watch Katie tomorrow around noon while we go to the gym!!!! YEAH! I know it’s a holiday but I still wanna get my gym time in. We might do something together for Memorial Day in the afternoon/evening, maybe.

Gah, I just feel like a BIG BLOB. We just finished watching last week’s GAME OF THRONES (only 2 episodes left for us to watch, aaaaaah!) and now? Not sure.. prob just gonna hang out and try not to give into cravings. Sigh.

Mess ups

I cannot believe how many times I have GOOFED UP food/diet wise the last few weeks. *shakes head* I’M IN CONTROL – NO MORE, NO MORE, NO MORE. What happens is I wind up buying something I know I shouldn’t. Damnit.. I am determined to keep it straight for a MONTH then TWO MONTHS then on and on. I CAN DO THIS… I CAN DO THIS … if I keep messing up with my diet, I keep messing up my gym performance! I DON’T WANT THAT – HELLO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE WILLPOWER! Longest I’ve went lately is 2 weeks then wind up binging.

It’s been a great day! Got up and cleaned house, plus GUESS WHAT?! Brad took Katie outside, while I cleaned! IT WAS AWESOME. He took her out to try to help her learn how to ride her new bike. Brad was really being goofy/silly/absurd today for some reason… hah. I knew I felt different at the gym for some reason?? By the time I got over by the free weights then I remembered! I FORGOT to drink my pre-workout formula at home. Grrr.. woops. Of course because of my POOR dietary choices yesterday my legs (once again) felt heavy/tight on the bike and esp. on the treadmill, but I PUSHED FORWARD. We left the gym and went to Best Buy for a bit before heading off to Whole Foods again and I went ahead and bought some CLEAN whey isolate protein powder that was on SALE! I thought about cutting out whey protein but I think I’ll be fine, as long as I buy the clean stuff, versus the usual stuff at Wal-Mart. I also got my coconut Kefir and coconut water kefir to put in my shakes. Last stop was usual Wal-Mart, where we got Katie a new radio+cd player boombox for her room, plus a few other things. Came back to Mom’s to hang out and talk for a while before bringing Katie home for bath+bed. Brad bought STEAKS and cooked one tonight and I had a small portion… soo good, I haven’t had steak in FOREVER.

Time to get a shower, study for my church lesson for the kiddos tomorrow, and get some sleep! I’m feeling good right now!! =) I know the last month or so I have been trying to stick to my food plan and then giving in… rinse repeat BUT I AM DETERMINED TO DO THIS RIGHT! Gotta stay FOCUSED.

I am sooooo thankful, grateful, and blessed for everything Heavenly Father has given me and I KNOW I can reach my goals with HIS help, if I just believe and keep going. I WON’T STOP TILL I REACH MY GOALS.

Not much

Just wanted to say that I hope your Friday (and start to the holiday weekend) has been good! I did a little college work, folded laundry, took Katie outside this afternoon … and took naps. We went out for groceries this evening and I’m gonna do it – I’m gonna follow the strict food plan that I have been *thinking* about doing for a while. Basically, my whole days worth of food consists of nothing but: lean protein + healthy fats and vegs. I’m tired of going on this up and down weight wave, so gotta do what I gotta do. No grains, no dairy (so that includes no more whey protein…), lots of healthy fats for energy. I CAN DO THIS… I could get egg-white protein powder like I have before but it’s just too expensive. Almost $25 for about a week’s worth! Sheeeeeeeeesh.

Once again, prob gonna feel heavier at the gym tomorrow, since I ate too much and things that I shouldn’t have. WTF AM I DOING. GRRRRRRRR. The only “temptations” I have at home now is Katie’s oats and I’m just gonna have to leave them alone!!! This “strict” diet will help my body heal. Then MAYBE eventually I can re-introduce other foods……. maybe. I am excited to try out my new: coconut butter and hormone & antibiotic free turkey sausage! Got some egg whites too for a lower calorie protein source, PLUS clean, hormone free chicken burgers.

Anyway .. gonna relax and possibly watch a rerun of OTH!

Let’s see. I sat down this morning to my protein shake then decided to once again go back to bed for a bit. Got back up and had my breakfast #2 of eggs, green beans, and coconut oil. It’s SERIOUSLY SO GOOD. Oh and I also added a chopped mushroom to it. After Katie’s usual, I took her outside again. Took my snack outside again and had my little container of yogurt, little coconut oil & little protein powder mixed in, plus 2 small apricots. YUMS. We came back, she had lunch then went down for nap after I read to her a little and rocked her. She did NOT want to go to sleep but was extra sleepy and so after much crying/fussing, she finally gave it up. I chopped up and steamed some veggies, folded laundry, took a nap, and just relaxed. The rest of the afternoon was just usual get-ready-for-gym procedures! Brad gave blood today at work, so he didn’t work out tonight – just me! He came home, took Katie to neighbor’s then headed off. Brad brought his iPad and other stuff with him and worked on that the whole time, while I worked out. MY SHIRT WAS SOAKED WHEN I GOT DONE, YESSSSS. Ate the rest of my bar then had some iceeeeeee cold water and chomped on some ice too. We sat around for a few more minutes then headed back to get Katie. I haven’t really been in a talking mood tonight.. dunno why! Actually a little hungry right now, even after my turkey/veg/gucamole/sauce mix. Might grab a little yog + protein powder and then get ready for bed! My hair was thankful to be washed tonight, lol.

HE GOT IT !!!

I went back to having my protein shake in the morning… it made my stomach hurt before because I don’t think I added enough water to it. Decided to go lay back down for a bit and sleeeeeeeeep. AH, SO GOOD. Esp. since Brad and I were up late last night! ;D After Katie was fed and went potty – I got my college/scripture stuff and we headed outside, so I could let her run, run, run, run around for a little over an hour. It was nice… I sat against a tree in the shade and just enjoyed it. I LOVE NATURE SO MUCH. I had my little container of yogurt and half a tablespoon of coconut oil as a snack while I was outside and my water. We came back eventually and she had lunch then went down for nap… but she didn’t sleep, just mostly rolled around hah. Been trying to decide what to have for lunch – went for a protein shake, plus a side of yogurt and BANANA. It was sooooo good. I LOVE BANANAS and yogurt, yums. Think that will be my new lunch. Was feeling pretty dragged, so I laid down and took a nap. I got up and went to visit with my neighbor and helped her organize! I felt so awesome helping her do that! :] I LOVE to organize! Came back, fed Katie, and started to do the usual routine before time for gym. Brad sent me a text about 4:50pm and said he had a meeting with customer service department (his potential job!) at 5pm… ooOooo!!! He called me not long after that and and and and ….

HE GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which means?! HIGHER PAY (ABOUT DOUBLE!) and AWESOME BENEFITS! HECK YES, HECK YES, HECK YES! I’m so proud of him and EXCITED for us! I’m soooooooo thankful he finally was able to get a higher up job – he’s been trying to get one for the past 6 months or so! =) SQUEEEEEE!!!

He came home and took Katie to neighbor’s house then GYM GYM GYM! Of course Brad was MUCH more excited to work out today, lol. STATS >>>

Really like the new moves Brad introduced with our upper body stuff! Esp the rotary cuff, woot. Loooove doing the free weights until it BURNS. I was actually already dripping sweat after the start of the upper body stuff, which is AWESOME. the mountain climber really was working on my thighs and actually made my right knee a bit sore, but I was working it! When I hopped on the elliptical it felt SO EASY compared to the mountain climber, LOL. Love when that happens…… YES. Brad shared a bit of his smoothie with me and it was awesome. Oh and before we started the workout, he bought a giant Monster energy drink and I had a bit of that. Pretty tasty. Only prob I had with doing longer time on the elliptical is that my feet go NUMB! Luckily, I had a minute to rest when Brad brought the smoothie over, so my feet could get a bit of feeling back in them haha. We got to hang out with Ryan (guy I mentioned who got a mohawk! lol) and talked to him for a long while! He is AN AWESOME GUY! We tanned then had to head off to Wal-Mart, since I needed bananas.. also picked up some spinach and mushrooms. AND AND AND – fresh APRICOTS. Gaaaah, I want truckloads of those. I ate 2 on the way home, nom nom. Brad bought the new Red Bull – zero calorie, zero sugar and I had a sip of that too. Came home, got Katie & put her to bed and now I’m about to go wash off, shave, and get ready for bed.

I FEEL GOOOOOD, WHEEEEE! As always – I am so thankful, grateful, and blessed for EVERYTHING Heavenly Father has given me and I know I owe everything I am and ever shall be to HIM. The Gospel means a lot to me… so excited to see what the rest of this year holds! I pray for goodness in my life and all of you! Have a wonderful night!!! =) BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

Struggles

Not happy that I indulged food wise again today, but only this morning. A little better but still could just punch myself in the face hahah. It’s just so hard to find out the right “food formula” that works for my body in this situation!!! I know I babble about this all the time but I’m so determined to get this situated to where I can feel good and lose this extra weight I have been carrying around for the past 2+ years now. Gonna try again with using my main source of energy from healthy fats. That’s what I SHOULD be doing anyway, since grains + my body = no-no.

I watched the latest Secret Life this morning then went back to bed for a bit. It was soooooo nice and I did not want to get back up. Katie got up, played, while I did college work. Not too much of an eventful day, to be honest. Katie would not take a nap and then when she did get up and started playing – she said she was tired! Ha, well you should of taken a nap my little wild one. Brad didn’t get enough sleep, so he was not really in the mood for the gym but off we went! STATS >>>

I really do not like how I went off track food wise and overate because it makes my body feel so tight at the gym and of course makes me feel bad afterwards. Especially my legs… good gosh, they felt heavier and like I said – tight, puffy. Right now I feel a little meh, but I felt pretty good right after the workout. Sigh. Want to feel AWESOME at the gym but that requires me sticking to a food plan. Just gotta keep reassuring myself that it’s alright and that I will start again tomorrow. After eating a bit of rice today, I’m gonna say no to that too. No grains again, plenty of healthy fats, medium amount of good protein, and fruits/veggies.
